Welcome to the old fashioned adventure domains of Kullu Manali, a domain comprising very first trekking route thru a magnificent pass to the most primitive tribes in the North Himalayan Province. The trek is located in the abundant lands of Naggar, an ancient village beholding numerous temples tourist sites art galleries museums and so on the sightings. Its spectacular views, breathtaking scenes, and isolated trails make it a perfect destination for tourists that offers you the views of Pir Panjal ranges, Deo Tibba Peak, Parbati mountain ranges.
The trail is picturesque and filled with surprises making every height gain exceptionally contented. There are various species of trees such as Deodar, Pine, Walnut, Chestnut, Oak, Fir, Birch, Juniper and Rhododendron trees. Day 1: Reach Naggar (1800m/5900ft.) – Rumsu (2200m/7200ft.) – Naya Tapru (3450m/9770ft.)
Reach Naggar early as the trek is for full day, start driving towards Rumsu village. Here our trek starts with a steep climb leading for awhile then changing its gradient to moderate trekking trails. The route goes winding through trees shrubs torrents to highland pastures of Stelling Ghon Kradi and then to our campsite at Naya Tapru. These all meadows are pastoral slants for the livestock of the locals living below. But Naya Tapru is the widest of them offering grand vistas of the Dhauladhar range Hanuman Tibba and most interesting a view of Manali. It looks great when it gets dark and these lights of civilization make you feel the seclusion of the time being. Once overcome the days trek relax amidst the pure Natural surroundings. Have your dinner alongside the little fire and sleep well inside the tents.
Day 2: Naya Tapru – Chandarkhani Pass (3700m/12140ft.) – Naya Tapru
Wake up early before the sun strikes its first beam on the mountains. Glimpse the sunrise contrasting and glorifying the mountains as spectacularly as it could shine on the varied terrains. Have your breakfast pack your day sack, lunch, water and any necessary things needed later on the trek. The trail will keep going up and moderate through high altitude vegetation of Rhododendrons, Birch and Fir trees along with a bunch of discarded livestock of Bulls Cows and some tamed Horses Mules wandering across the slopes. We may find many of them just grazing out there and as we pass by the trail they stare asking what are you doing in here? Day 3: Nayya Tapru – Rumsu – Naggar – Departure.
Today we will trek back to the civilization, back into the hustle and bustles of the busy world. We will trek back the same route to Rumsu and then drive till Naggar. At Naggar you will be handed with all your belongings left over previously and will be free to depart to your preferred destinations.
Trekking Shoes: You need good trekking shoes with good grip & ankle support. Do not carry sport shoes.
Clothing: You need to have warm clothes with three-layer jackets, fleece or down feather jacket. Carry 1 or 2 full sleeves t-shirt. For lowers carry cotton pants suitable for trek. Do no carry jeans or shorts for trekking.
Thermals: Carry top and bottom thermals.
Socks: Carry 2 - 3 pair of sports socks along with woolen socks to be worn at night.
Headlamp/Led Torch are mandatory
Sunglasses: To protect from sunlight in snow you require UV rays protected sunglasses.
Woolen Cap and Gloves are also necessary as the climate will be cold. Carry waterproof gloves as they get wet in snow.
Lunchbox & Water bottle: Every participant should carry lunch box and water bottle of their own.
Raincoat/Ponchos: At high altitudes, snowfall and rain are quite common and it’s mandatory to carry a poncho so that one doesn’t get wet.

How to Reach Manali
Distance by road:-
Manali is well connected to Delhi. Take an overnight bus from Delhi and you will reach Manali in 12 to 14 hours(approx 540 KMS). Tickets can be booked online at www.redbus.in or www.hrtc.gov.in Tip : Since Delhi Manali is a long journey most Volvo private buses leave Delhi between 5 pm and 8 pm. The last govt bus leaves at 8.30 pm from ISBT Kashmere Gate. Volvo buses charge between Rs.1,200 to 1,800 per sector from Delhi to Manali and vice versa. Manali to Delhi: Like the onward journey, buses leave from Manali to Delhi between 4 and 8 p.m. Your tentative arrival at Delhi may be anywhere between 6 a.m and 10 a.m. Plan your onward journeys only post noon giving enough buffer for bus delay.
How to reach Naggar:
From Manali, Naggar is 18 km. far and there are multiple buses running in every 15 minutes or one can get off at Patlikuhal which is 5 km. far from Naggar on the right bank highway. Patlikuhal lies in between of Kullu Manali. You can club a taxi or travel by a local transport from Manali or Patlikuhal to approach Naggar.
Nearest Railway Station:-
Nearest Railway station is Ambala (350 kms) and Chandigarh (310 kms). Tip: Regular Volvo and Buses are available from Chandigarh to Manali in the evening. Volvo buses charge between Rs.800 to Rs.1,200 per sector from Chandigarh to Manali and vice versa.
Nearest Airport :-
Nearest Airport is Bhuntar. which is 52 km away from Manali, is the nearest airport. Taxi services are available from Bhuntar to Manali, which costs about Rs.1500 to Rs.2,500. Bhuntar is well connected to Delhi by air. The airliners that take you to this Airport are Indian Airlines, Kingfisher airlines, MDLR Airlines and Jagson Airlines, operating flights from Delhi and Chandigarh to Kullu.

What kind of shoes I should have?
Answer:You should carry high-ankle trekking shoes. Different shoes are suitable for different kinds of treks, depending on the weather, trail condition as well as duration of the trek. For this particular trek, shoes with thick souls are recommended.
What will be the facility of food and water during the trek?
Answer:There are proper meals with subsequent nutritional values planned for the people coming in for the trek. Meal will include nutritional vegetarian meals, with the addition of tea and coffee during breaks.
What all medicines I should carry? Can I take diamox?
Answer:Carrying medicines is important while trekking anywhere in the world. Your first-aid should have anti-diarrhea medicine such as loperamide but make sure that you don't take it unless getting to a toilet isn't an option. During the trekking you may not have access to pharmacies. So it’s better to have medications ready. Yes, you can carry diamox and can be taken too if having sickness/nausea.
Will there be mobile connectivity?
Answer:Indian mobile networks do not work for most part of this trek. Vodafone and BSNL are the only mobile networks that work in patches along the way (but are inconsistent).
What about trek guides & leaders accompanying?
Answer:There will be two guides for the group of maximum 12 trekkers so 1 guide for 6 group members. We provide with the best of trekkers for guidance and a smooth sailing journey. There will Porter/mules as well for carrying camping equipment & rations.

How is weather on Chanderkhani Pass Trek?
Answer:Entirely depends on the months you have chosen to trek in. The second season between October to November when the temperature ranges between 1 - 6°C, visibility is excellent and there may be occasional snowfall. However if you have chosen December to go for this trek, it gets bitter cold.
What is the difficulty level of this trek?
Answer:This is an easy to moderate level trek, good for first timers as well.
Is it a safe trek for girls?
Answer:For girls, trekking is extremely safe. Vendors have highest regards for women safety and will ensure that they're safe during the entire trek. If there is only one girl in the trip, then she will be provided with single tent to sleep alone. If there are more girls, then they can sleep under one tent. Always make sure that you are never left on your own. Understand your pace and be with the group.
