  • Friendship Peak is Situated in the Beas Kund area of Pir Panjal range at an altitude of 5289m, Friendship peak is an ideal non-technical trekking peak for those with limited or no mountaineering experience. Being least technical doesn’t mean it is an easy peak, it requires good fitness patience, and some prior experience of high altitude trekking.
  • While in Manali, you can visit Hadimba Temple Manali, which is the main tourist attraction. then you can see the convergence of mighty Beas. The route crosses through the fascinating Solang Valley, featuring several alpine meadows, thick forest dotted with varied kinds of alpine trees, colorful orchards, and crisscrossed by diverse small and gushing streams.
  • It is the most celebrated peak amongst the old and fresh mountaineers looking forward to achieving the summit. Surrounded by several other peaks like the Hanuman Tibba expedition, Shetidhar, Indra Asan, and Mt. Deo Tibba Expedition, the summit of Friendship peak offers spectacular panoramic views of the Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar ranges. It is a perfect choice of conquering a peak with fewer hazards and a complete chance of attaining the top besides unpredicted weather.
  • The Friendship peak perches on a range that is decked with many of the five thousand peaks subsequently erecting into the landscape. Initially, the route passes through dense jungles of Dhundi meadows leading to the highland pastures of Thach and then to the base camp at Lady Leg. After base snow leads to the icy surface of far-stretched slants creating a tricky situation followed by some of the crevasses near to the summit, all negotiated prudently.
  • The gradient keeps rising as the days pass by presenting highland foliage in abundance especially the flowers of various kinds ultimately steeping up till the summit. Atop is the view that one was wanting for days of precipitation, is offered vastly with snow-capped giant mountain ranges stretched vaguely amidst the clouds and vapors.
  • It is a vigorous approach that makes ascend successful by taking rightful measures significantly. Triumphing over the pinnacle could be a moment of ecstasy yet descending conceals its all vulnerability. So it is necessary to climb with adequate provisions resulting in a safe climbing experience. The terrain on Friendship Peak Climbing Expedition reveals all kinds of mountainous hardships fostering one's thoughts to pay a tribute to the overall accumulations. Although it is a great climbing expedition done in a couple of days, a versatile trip that one shouldn’t miss while traveling in Manali.

Preparation for FRIENDSHIP PEAK EXPEDITION

As you know every mountainous excursion demands a precise planning, a planning with adequate pliability of observing and tackling situations, held all as by overcoming mind body and soul throughout the incredible Himalayan journey.

So here are some aspects regarding FRIENDSHIP PEAK EXPEDITION preparation:

Physically – A trek demands physical endurance, to prepare for each trek you should work out a month before joining a program.  Build up the adequate strength in your legs by running and exercising every day to boost up your endurance. Stop smoking and boost your lungs doing breathing exercises at routine basis two times a day, which will help acclimatize the conditions while being resilient on the trek. Take active part in outdoor games, Yoga and any other cardiac exercises.

Mentally – Mental preparation is key, equally as important as physical training requisite for a trek. Before joining any trek take pleasure in your daily routines, eat well, take rest properly and relax. Do not stress your mind by unnecessary predictions about the trek. Be with your best friends to get motivated and relax your mind. Because pre trek assumptions are not worthy because once you join the trek and meet with rest of the pack will bring encouragement and excitement. The mental preparedness will build through the entire trek conditions. And the physical drawbacks will affect the mind. So pay close attention to various parts of the body and consciously let them loosen up as you trek. When you trek try to relax your body, especially your hips. If you’re on a winding downhill trail or on a panicking slant, think of each step as part of a simple dance and enjoy the natural rhythms that the terrain and your body can find together cautiously. Experiment with different ways of walking as a way of finding enjoyment beyond the goal of reaching a destination. The main key to stay mentally fit is to enjoy the route and not to pressurize the mind.

Technically- Gear up yourself with perfect size trekking shoes and walk with it. Use 60ltr. Backpack in a daily routine with some weight inside it, so you become used to carrying loads. Buy a trekking pole, water bottle, warm socks, thermals, fleece, feather jackets, trousers, poncho,  flip flops, electronics such as power bank, camera (DSLR or digital camera).

Spend some minutes at the top and climb down safely to the summit camp, wind up all the equipments and descend down to ABC. Night halt will be at ABC.
