It’s the most loved and repeated routes amongst the avid explorers wanting to experience the authentic outland trip in Ladakh. An ultimate way to explore the numerous regional diversities in just few days drive, a drive covering hundreds of km’s of vast terrains secluded often from the rest of the world.  It is closed almost for 7 months a year due to heavy snowfalls mostly at Bara la cha la and so on the mighty passes. But when the road opens massive flocks of traveler’s bikers mountaineers gather in Manali to excel their selves to approach the incredible Lands of Ladakh. Therefore the roads are packed with vehicles at initial drives of our route, but will soon disappear and show up the least vehicles run to and fro. As we drive beyond the abundant vales of Manali, we enter into a different world, a world of desolation. The vegetation seems sparse distant mountains are scorched by the Sun yet the remarkable oasis in between the dwellings tells the profound hardships held at such isolated regions. The landscape catches the eye of a viewer and persist its grandeur throughout the trip. The scenery glorifies its existence by showing up the isolation and austerity with astounding vistas often aftermath an event. The remoteness is incredibly expanded which can be seen while travelling through numerous sites. The primitive Monasteries situated far away from distant inhabitations villages so old that they are self relied from centuries, the lifestyle, culture agrarians, and all to that the ultimate travail of sustaining lives at such arid nature, all these aspects of the journey are seen lucidly by one, who’s keen and honest to understand the essence of the trip.

Day 1: Reach Naggar.

Arrive Naggar, fulfill all your documentation and accommodate yourself in hotel rooms. The day will be spend visiting nearby places. Night stay will be in hotel rooms.

Day 2: Naggar - Manali - Baralacha Pass – Sarchu (230km.)

Our trip will start early after a sumptuous breakfast. We will drive over Rohtang Pass to the first glimpse of arid and barrens lands of Lahoul. Soon as driving along the Chandra river we reach at a point where two rivers Chandra and Bhaga confluence, a holy place at Tandi. Further we will follow Bhaga river through villages least vegetations to the arid Juniper forests. In between we will pass a beautiful village called Jespa, the most loved stopover throughout the trip. But we will drive beyond the Bara la cha la pass to Bharatpur, a cluster of food halts serving delicious treats in between of nowhere. We will rest a bit here and drive again into the grandeur of Sarchu. The landscape changes to a flatten fields of vast plateaus cut through by several streams, forming varied figures of decaying sand mountains into fascinating natural art. The route is filled with amazing sites of delightful moments. Our stop for today’s drive will end in Sarchu, in vast flatlands of sparse greenery accompanied with grand sky’s distant mountains. We will halt a night in the camps.

We will cross 3 highest passes en route to Leh, which are the most highest in the world. First we will drive on the Gata Loops a 21 hairpin bends and then the Nakee la, Lachung la. After these passes road turns better to Pang, here we can eat something or rest for some time. The most elongated flatlands come after this food point and take’s just a few minutes ride to reach the start of More Plaines. It is a vaguely distanced plateau seen enormously on the both sides of the road. After the More Plains we climb up towards worlds 3rd  highest Pass Tanglang La and then drive down to Rumtse Lato Karo so on to the civilization. The huge mountains keep accompanying one throughout the ride till Leh. The roads are amazingly paved that it will not take much time to reach Leh. Today we will rise up early as the drive is long to approach Pangong Lake. The road comes with mixed of terrains with good and bad roads. It is an isolated journey through vast desolate lands of the country. The road from Khalsar to Agham is good but turns rough from Agham to Shyok and further. We will drive along the Shyok river and will cross many a times the river. It will take about 5-6 hours to reach the Pangong lake by this route but if this route is closed we will take another route from Leh which will take a bit more time to reach. Nevertheless we will spend a night near to the lake in the tents watching stars and constellations.

Day 9: Depart from Leh.

After breakfast we will break up and depart to our destinations.

THINGS TO PACK FOR A TOUR:-

Start preparing yourself with a precise packing of things depending on the area where you are going to visit. If you are going to the plains then you won’t have so much to pack but if you are going to the Himalayan Region it will require proper preparation to avoid any distress presented by the weather or any kind of adverse situation. Although this trip is held in a mountainous region, you have to be prepared well to tackle the unpredicted weather conditions. Although this is a tour done by driving inside a conveyance yet cold and rain will even affect one. So here are some of the things you should pack before you leave for a trip:

Clothing: The Himalayan region is mostly cold even in the summers. The summer here in Manali lasts for just 3 months, so adequate clothing is a key factor making your trip comfortable even if it gets rainy stormy or chilly. A Himalayan trip requires mixed clothing of woolens water resistant jackets and dry fits shirts. Woolens will save you from cold, water proof jackets will protect from heavy rainfalls and dry fits will help not stink while busy touring days on road and

will dry faster than any material. You have to add a Downfeather Jacket in case weather treats harsh, 3-4 dry fit shirts (short sleeve for warm weather trips, long sleeve for cold weather trips) 1 pair of jeans, something to sleep in (gym-style pants or shorts) 2-3 pairs of underwear. One can opt all the necessary things accordingly.

Gloves: You should have two pairs of gloves, warm and waterproof. One will be worn like inner with warm material which is thinner and the other worn as a waterproof outer while riding a bike or travelling at high altitudes. This type of layering hands will save from extreme colds inspite exposed to the harsh winds.

Cap: One can put Hat or a dry fit cap to avoid straight sunlight. You can bring a balaclava to protect head from cold and windy days. The sunlight at high altitudes burns your skin, so you need a cover to protect soft skin from tanning.

Sunglasses: Sunglasses are requisite part of any trip to protect eyes from dust and sharp daylight. You can buy a UV protected sunglass of any decent brand.

Scarf/Muffler: If you are going to a cold region you must carry scarf/muffler to wrap your neck from freezing cold winds.

Shoes/Slippers: You can buy a light weight sport shoes which will comfort while walking to the places during this tour. Along to it don’t forget to put flip flops in your backpack. It will be handy when one is at the halt.

Medicines: As this trip is done in the lower areas of the Kullu Manali you just need to carry some of the basic medicines for headache, stomache, cold, fever, cough, glucose, ORS, Electral, spray/balm for joint pains, lighter or matchbox, band aid, Dettol, antiseptic cream, crepe bandage, nasal drops for a blocked nose and so on the requirements. If you have any prior health related ailments please consult your doctor before leaving for the trip. It is always good to have the medications to avoid basic illnesses at such remote places.

Documents/ID proofs:  D/L, AADHAR, Passport, Medical Form certified by recognized Doctor, copies of flight tickets, any hotel reservation slips, passport photos and a Medical or travel insurance if any.

Electronics: The electronics have become vital in our daily lives whether it is a phone, camera, chargers, extra batteries, spare memory cards, power bank, , kindle, earphones, head torch etc. All these things can be opted as per the requirements.

Toiletries/Sundries: Toilet Paper, Hand sanitizer, Shampoo and Conditioner, Shower gel/Bar soap, Toothbrush and Toothpaste/Mouth wash, Lotion, cold cream, Lip Balm, Sunscreen SPF 30, Deodorant, Razor and Mustard oil.

Cash/ATM: One can carry some cash during the trip although there are several ATM’s in between the route where one can get cash for daily expenditures.

Water: The water consumed during trip comes from regular drinking water of tap or streams flowing from glacial sources. If you are not tolerable to the regular drinking water you can drink mineral water. But we recommend you to drink regular water it helps acclimatize faster and is full of minerals.

Edibles: You can bring some dry fruits, biscuits, chocolates, packed food along with you. You can eat such things instantly while feeling hungry at intervals.

Note: All the things should be considered as per the requirements of a person.

Even though not as popular as other trekking agencies, these guys were very professional and conducted one of the most difficult treks in an Excellent way. The trek leaders, support staff and the cooking staff were excellent. They really run the trek on their shoulders. I remember the cooking head was saying to me that he has done pin Parvati nearly 50 times and there hasn't been any incident whatsoever, I realized it why. The technical staffs really did amazing job to get everyone cross the difficult and risky boulders and tricky sections. Appreciate the whole team. The management team though can improve on communication and advertising more.

Yunam Peak is open for those who look for a High Altitude challenge. Its duration is short compared to the others of comparable height. One is on foot only for 2 or 3 days. One part of the walk is entirely loose stones/boulders, the other part is just snow. Himalayan Adventure trips provide comfortable accommodation before and after the trek at their campsite in Naggar. Their trek guide was competent and the other members were proficient in the work they had to handle.

It was a nice short & sweet trek...one way trek was around 4-5hrs depending on your speed..it’s an easy trek, if anyone doing a trek for the first time, I would highly suggest to start doing 30min walk /run daily starting 3weeks before the planned date. In the end don’t forget to enjoy every step:D Come back with some great experiences to share !! Cheerio :)

This trek is the place and the trek to take , if it all you have any doubts on your physical capabilities or want to challenge your body and mind together! What a trek it was! The hardest route, the most difficult terrain and the longest hike I have ever done. Still, this is my best! Our family did it together and it is our best one. We had the longest route - 45km and it took almost 5 days to complete. It was a night trek and we scaled during the midnight amidst moonlight and snowing. What a thrill

Such magnetic place which would attract you from miles away. It's attraction would not be light even if you reach up to it and walk on it. Just a nature's marvel which makes everything else look smaller and worthless in front of it.

A trek treat on Himalayas. So much of knowledge about the other side of mountain life seems to have made a tad richer in experience and of course the humility and good lessons to lean on to that only mountains can teach.
